Hi Friends,

This event has been sanctioned and established in direct correlation with what occurred by the Standard of the Lord being placed in the ground of Washington, DC in the last morning of the Gathering of the Eagles in DC in Oct. 2001.

Only those who receive our newsletter or who were present at the Gathering will ever know what happened the fateful morning that would release such a miracle in our Nation. We came in and left quietly you might say, and a Nation is free to return to God because God honored our obedience. We planted, others waters and the Nation will reap the harvest. That is as it should be.

It was the same in Jax, Fl. we planted the seed, others watered and the nation will reap the harvest.

My heart feels like singing how, about yours?

Bless you all my dear friends for your sacrifice for and love of America. I now can hardly wait to see what He is going to do in Seattle.

Love,
Nita J

A DAY HIDDEN BY GOD IN HIS HEART, Part 2

Recently, we wrote you about a resolution initiated by Christian political leaders here in the United States. The bill, sponsored by Representative Tom DeLay, called for a National Day of Reconciliation. Last week the bill passed. December 4th was designated as the day our Senators and Congressmen would break from their tasks as national leaders and, together with our President, convene in the Rotunda for at least two hours of humbling themselves before God and one another.

I realize that no matter what good thing emerges in our nation, there are cynics among us who will dismiss it. A cynic is a habitual doubter. Beloved, let us not be unbelieving concerning this important working of God’s grace in our nation. Let us each decide to magnify the Lord, not the imperfections we see in the vessels or the process through which God works His mighty will.

Due to the fact that Dec 4th is so close, with urgency I am asking you to spread the word concerning this unique opportunity. Many pastors, prayer leaders and intercessors are unaware that, as a nation, we have been asked to join in this initiative. By way of example, local pastors here in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, have rented the Veteran’s Coliseum (where city hall is located). Christians throughout our area will join with local and national leaders in repentance and prayer from noon to 9:00 p.m.

Yet, how you organize this event is incidental. If you cannot quickly arrange a citywide assembly, simply going to your church or meeting as several churches will be just as effective. Indeed, this isn’t about a procedure, but a prostration of our hearts, as a nation, before God. From our President to political leaders and pastors, together with multitudes of Christians throughout the land, let us unite and pursue the heart of God for our nation.

The following is an endorsement by Dr. Bill Bright, president of Campus Crusade for Christ, concerning this special day. It is introduced by David Bryant, president of Concerts of Prayer International and Chairman of the National Prayer Committee. The last section is a final word from House Majority Whip, Tom DeLay.

TO THE ENTIRE NATIONAL PRAYER COMMITTEE:
RE THE CALL TO PRAYER BY THE U.S.CONGRESS

Dear Friends:

I’m forwarding to you a press release from Bill Bright’s office. This should answer most of your questions. Keep praying, please. May it somehow translate into a moment in time when this nation is laid openly and humbly at the feet of the supreme Savior.

CHRIST IS ALL!
David Bryant

From Dr. Bright:

My Dear Friends,

What an amazing Lord and Savior we have! Several of our Senators and Congressman have worked over the past several months to set aside a day of reconciliation for America. It passed the House by voice vote, was sent to the Senate Rules Committee, and then passed in the U.S. Senate Wednesday night. The goal is to reconcile and unify America around the belief that America is "One Nation Under God." The wording is quite simple, and is as follows:

"Concurrent Resolution – Providing for a National Day of Reconciliation. Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That on a day of reconciliation selected jointly by the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President pro tempore of the Senate, and with the Chaplain of the House of Representatives and the Chaplain of the Senate in attendance — (1)two Houses of the Congress shall assemble in the Hall of the House of Representatives; and (2) during this assembly, the Members of the two Houses may gather to humbly seek the blessings of Providence for forgiveness, reconciliation, unity, and charity for all people of the United States, thereby assisting the Nation to realize its potential as the champion of hope, the vindicator of the defenseless, and the guardian of freedom."

"Concurrent Resolution – Providing for a National Day of Reconciliation. Resolved by the Senate (the House of Representatives concurring), SECTION 1. USE OF ROTUNDA OF THE CAPITOL. The rotunda of the Capitol is authorized to be used at any time on November 27, 2001, or December 4, 2001, for a National Day of Reconciliation where– (1) the 2 Houses of Congress shall assemble in the rotunda with the Chaplain of the House of Representatives and the Chaplain of the Senate in attendance; and (2) during this assembly, the Members of the 2 Houses may gather to humbly seek the blessings of Providence for forgiveness, reconciliation, unity, and charity for all people of the United States, thereby assisting the Nation to realize its potential as–(A) the champion of hope; (B) the vindicator of the defenseless; and (C) the guardian of freedom. SEC. 2.

"PHYSICAL PREPARATIONS FOR THE ASSEMBLY. Physical preparations for the assembly shall be carried out in accordance with such conditions as the Architect of the Capitol may prescribe."

In support of our leaders and our nation, we are urging that we all take December 4, 2001, as a special day of fasting and prayer for reconciliation.

It is also our sincere hope that even secular employers will allow their employees to spend time that day in intercessory prayer. We would also like to strongly encourage pastors and leaders to call their congregations to prayer, as well as make their facilities available for believers to unite in prayer whenever and wherever possible.

Will you join us for this unprecedented opportunity? This has never happened in the history of the United States. Our leaders are unifying. Lets get behind them and pray earnestly for them by name, beginning with our President and his cabinet.

Yours for fulfilling the Great Commission each year until our Lord returns,

Bill Bright

Representative DeLay’s Press Release:

DeLay Hails
Passage of Resolution Authorizing National Day of Reconciliation

Washington, DC: Majority Whip Tom DeLay (R-TX) today hailed House-Senate passage of a resolution permitting a National Day of Reconciliation. Congressman DeLay’s statement follows:

"This resolution sends the right message at the right time. It’s never been more important for the leaders of our nation to come together and turn back to God. It’s all made clear in II Chronicles 7:14 – ‘If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.’

"In our own time, we’re blessed with strong leaders of deep faith, especially President Bush. By coming together in the Capitol to pray, humble themselves before God, and to seek repentance, America’s leaders can guide the nation in the right direction. Each of us now has the opportunity to reduce our nation’s estrangement from God.

"I want to thank Members of both parties in the House and Senate who came together and passed this resolution."
