When Prophecy and History Collide, the Golden Hour Arrives!

Ricci Johnson-Wilson

March 8, 2024

Sunday March 3, 2024 I had a vision of America. It was filled with corruption. The corruption was displayed literally by a dark substance that reminded me of heavy soot.

It was layered across the land so deep; it appeared as though we had no mountains, no lakes, no valleys. The mountains, the valleys, even the Grand Canyon which has an average depth of one mile, was all level because the corruption simply filled every nook and cranny of the land.

Then the Lord appeared on the west coast. He was weeping—His intercession. He stood about 150 feet tall. He began moving eastward from the northern corner toward the south and then back. In a serpentine motion, He headed east weeping and sweeping, weeping and sweeping. In this process, He was also exposing the corruption for all to see. Behind Him, the land was clean, defined, sparkling. He was cleansing the land. By the time He arrived at the Grand Canyon, I could see soot beginning to line up along the west coast again.

Once He arrived on the east coast and turned around, I could see that the land was already almost filled back up with the corruption. Within a short time, it seemed almost as bad as it was when He began.

He walked back to the west coast, and started the same procedure, interceding and sweeping, cleansing the land but this time, the corruption was being uprooted.

By the time He arrived at the Grand Canyon—and I believe the Grand Canyon was singled out for three reasons:

  • Its vast size made it easy to recognize.
  • Filling a crevice over a mile deep demonstrates the severity of the corruption.
  • And, it begins the next time zone. Representing a new time period in our history.

By the time Jesus arrived there, He turned and looked back and saw a line of people across the western coastline following Him. Behind them was another line of people, then another, and another! It looked as though they were emerging from the sea, and they just kept coming! Having seen the corruption He exposed, these individuals were working to retain and maintain the cleansing He was doing.

I believe the weeping our Lord was doing is in partnership with the work of the intercessors from 1999 to 2020. This is the period of our Gathering of the Eagles. The gap from 2020 until now, the nation has filled back up with the soot of the last century, and while it may seem discouraging, because He exposed the roots of the corruption, the people are ready to reclaim the land!

He is faithful because we’ve prayed. And friends, our Lord began another trek across our land because He has not turned His back on our nation!

From 2020 until now, our Lord has been working to cleanse the land in partnership with the intercessors, but those coming up out of the sea are those rods of righteousness—the new breed of warriors—I’ve seen them in visions—and we’ve prayed about them for many years. These are the ones God called upon to retain and maintain the work that’s been done in the spirit realm.

They are the New Breed of Believers He told me were coming clear back in 2018.

They are the New Breed of Warriors commissioned by God to take back the land for His Kingdom purposes!

They are the New Breed of:

  • Pastors
  • Politicians
  • Educators
  • Journalists
  • Businessmen
  • Judges
  • District Attorneys
  • Advocates for life
  • Warriors for God’s Justice
  • Patriots
  • And so on…

These are the men and women God prepared for this time period. They are partnering with God and will retain and maintain what has been done in the spirit through our intercessions.

Our Lord finished His trek across the land, the warriors coming up behind Him and once He arrived on the eastern seaboard, He turned around. Those warriors encircled His feet. Together, we looked across the country and it was beautiful. There was a transparent, golden hue that blanketed the nation. As we stood there with the Lord, I saw the innocence of the nation, it was pure, it was entering a place of fulfilling its destiny in God. The people of the land feared God, they honored their fellow man, and they sought to serve their neighbor in a way I have not seen since I was a very young child. They were fulfilling Matthew 22:37-40.

The Lord, looking across the country, said it was “our golden hour”.

There are two definitions of the “golden hour”, and I believe we should consider both, recognizing they both apply to what the Lord was showing me.

First is the golden hour photographers and filmmakers alike relish to capture the very best imagery. It’s also known as the magical hour, is a captivating period of time that occurs around sunrise and sunset. During this enchanting hour, the Sun is positioned low in the sky, casting a soft, warm light that transforms the landscape. During this period, the sun casts it’s rays at a lower angle and they have to travel through more of the earth’s atmosphere. This results in the earth’s upper atmosphere reflecting the sunlight and illuminating the lower atmosphere and making the sky appear golden with reddish colors. It does not last long, but when a photographer captures this rare period of the day it becomes a mystical moment that they can get absolutely lost in. I’ve heard them refer this period of time as the period that “woos them in.”

There is a second golden hour we must consider; that in terms of medical intervention.

The golden hour is the period of time immediately after a stroke or traumatic injury during which there is the highest likelihood that prompt medical and surgical treatment will prevent death.

I take you back to the vision I had of the nation—appearing as a woman—on an operating table back in 2020. If you remember, it was in a catastrophic accident and our Lord was working feverishly to heal the mind, the heart, the stomach, the womb, the knees, and the feet of a nation that had turned away from Him. Throughout this surgery, a golden hue rested upon the woman. In His mercy, He was healing the soul of the nation.

This is where we are, truly, this is where we are in history. We have this moment in which we can capture His plans and purposes for our nation and release them by partnering with Him in prayer, and by either engaging in the natural, or praying for those who can engage in the natural, to rise up to retain and maintain the work being done in this hour. Our goal is to see His Divine and Holy will done here on earth. (Matthew 6:10)

Amos 3:7 tells us: “Surely the Lord God will do nothing without revealing His secret to His servants the prophets.”

Why? So, they can encourage, exhort, admonish, and prepare the people. So together, they can pray and align themselves and those around them with the will of God.

Friends, our nation is on a path to healing, and we must pray into the things God has given us trusting God to fulfill His will in the earth. Any prophecy with historical substance, especially those that shape nations, must be prayed into. This is why you will often hear Mom and I pray into the things the Lord has shown us.

He speaks so we can pray according to His will.

To demonstrate this, I want to go to one of the most amazing and significant prophetic passages in the Word of God as an example for us to follow and then we will talk a bit more on the golden hour and how President Trump fits into this season of time.

Daniel 9:1-23 In the first year of Darius son of Ahasuerus, of the offspring of the Medes, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans—In the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood from the books the number of years which, according to the word of the Lord to Jeremiah the prophet, must pass by before the desolations [which had been] pronounced on Jerusalem should end; and it was seventy years. (substantive prophecy)

And I set my face to the Lord God to seek Him by prayer and supplications, with fasting and sackcloth and ashes; And I prayed to the Lord my God and made confession and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, Who keeps covenant, mercy, and loving-kindness with those who love Him and keep His commandments, We have sinned and dealt perversely and done wickedly and have rebelled, turning aside from Your commandments and ordinances. Neither have we listened to and heeded Your servants the prophets, who spoke in Your name to our kings, our princes and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. (Intercession)

O Lord, righteousness belongs to You, but to us confusion and shame of face, as at this day—to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, to those who are near and those who are far off, through all the countries to which You have driven them because of the [treacherous] trespass which they have committed against You. O Lord, to us belong confusion and shame of face—to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers—because we have sinned against You. (Here Daniel humbles himself before the Lord in worship and honor of the will of God)

To the Lord our God belong mercy and loving-kindness and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against Him; And we have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God by walking in His laws which He set before us through His servants the prophets.

11 Yes, all Israel has transgressed Your law, even turning aside that they might not obey Your voice. Therefore, the curse has been poured out on us and the oath that is written in the Law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against Him. And He has carried out intact His [threatening] words which He threatened against us and against our judges [the kings, princes, and rulers generally] who ruled us, and He has brought upon us a great evil; for under the whole heavens there has not been done before [anything so dreadful] as [He has caused to be] done against Jerusalem. (Identificational repentance)

13 Just as it is written in the Law of Moses as to all this evil [that would surely come upon transgressors], so it has come upon us. Yet we have not earnestly begged for forgiveness and entreated the favor of the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities and have understanding and become wise in Your truth. Therefore, the Lord has kept ready the calamity (evil) and has brought it upon us, for the Lord our God is [uncompromisingly] righteous and rigidly just in all His works which He does [keeping His word]; and we have not obeyed His voice. And now, O Lord our God, Who brought Your people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand and secured Yourself renown and a name as at this day, we have sinned, we have done wickedly!  O Lord, according to all Your rightness and justice, I beseech You, let Your anger and Your wrath be turned away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain. Because of our sins and the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people have become a reproach and a byword to all who are around about us. (Intercession and restorative prayer)

17 Now therefore, O our God, listen to and heed the prayer of Your servant [Daniel] and his supplications, and for Your own sake cause Your face to shine upon Your sanctuary which is desolate. O my God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and look at our desolations and the city which is called by Your name; for we do not present our supplications before You for our own righteousness and justice, but for Your great mercy and loving-kindness. O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, give heed and act! Do not delay, for Your own sake, O my God, because Your city and Your people are called by Your name. (Reminding God of His promises)

20 While I was speaking and praying, confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy hill of my God—

21 Yes, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the former vision, being caused to fly swiftly, came near to me and touched me about the time of the evening sacrifice. He instructed me and made me understand; he talked with me and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give you skill and wisdom and understanding. At the beginning of your prayers, the word [giving an answer] went forth, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved. Therefore, consider the matter and understand the vision. (The Lord responds.)

Why is this passage of prayer so significant?

It demonstrates three things:

  1. Daniel’s understanding and application of prophecy
  2. Daniel’s diligence in studying the Word of God
  3. How Daniel utilized the Word of God to build his prayer life

Charles Spurgeon cried out for people to study the Word of God more… to know His Word so they could:

  1. Plead the promises of God over their nations, the church and their lives.
  2. Prevail in prayer. How does knowing His Word better help us prevail in prayer? Because our cry develops into one that cries for Him to fulfill His Word. That Word that gives us hope for the future because it’s according to His will!

Nothing can prevail with God like proclaiming His own Word!

Daniel understood this truth. We can learn a lot from Daniel in this prayer recorded in Daniel 9 and while I’m not going to teach on the prophetic word given by Gabriel regarding the timeline of the Messiah in the next portion of this chapter, I do want to bring the first portion of this chapter into historical perspective.

Daniel knew through his study of the word and his understanding of the times that prophecy and current events were about to collide! He, as a prophet and an intercessor, knew that prayer was the key to unlocking the promises and fulfillment of prophecy!

What prophecy?

The ones recorded in the book of Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 25:11-13: And this whole land shall be a waste and an astonishment, and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years. Then when seventy years are completed, I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, the land of the Chaldeans, says the Lord, for their iniquity, and will make the land [of the Chaldeans] a perpetual waste. And I will bring upon that land all My words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah has prophesied against all the nations.

Jeremiah 29:10

10 For thus says the Lord, When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will visit you and keep My good promise to you, causing you to return to this place.

Prophesy and current events were colliding! When Daniel came before the Lord to bring His own Word through the prophet Jeremiah to Him, there were approximately 3-4 years before the 70 Years were up. There were three separate waves of captives taken to Babylon ranging over a period of 18 years. Daniel was taken in the first wave; his desire was to see God move and release them from their captivity according to that first wave.

He knew prayer was the key.

He entered into a period of extended identificational repentance for his people so, if it were possible, nothing would stand in the way of the opportunity for the 70-year captivity to align with that first wave of captives. By now, Daniel was around 80-85 years old, and his desire was to witness the fulfillment of the Word of the Lord over his people.

His prayer was one of worship, repentance, and weeping on behalf of his people for their sins.

Within two years, Cyrus rose to power. Cyrus, THE Cyrus spoken of by name in Isaiah 45:1-5 over 150 years before he was even born!! Can you imagine Daniel’s great anticipation of this moment? He was about to witness the fulfillment of God’s Word to His people right before his eyes! Understanding the importance and application of prophesy and the Word of God, Daniel knew the critical nature of the times he was living in. He no doubt continued to pray into the prophecies he knew so well.

Daniel’s position in the empire would grant him access to Cyrus—and according to the historian Josephus—Persian kings paid close attention to and heeded prophets and oracles. So much so, they kept studious advisors in the court to advise them. (How much different nations would fare if they heeded the voice of the Lord through His prophets?)

Let’s look at the Word of the Lord through Isaiah.

Isaiah 44:28 Who says of Cyrus, He is My shepherd (ruler), and he shall perform all My pleasure and fulfill all My purpose—even saying of Jerusalem, She shall [again] be built, and of the temple, Your foundation shall [again] be laid.

45:1-5  Thus says the Lord to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held to subdue nations before him, and I will unarm and ungird the loins of kings to open doors before him, so that gates will not be shut. I will go before you and level the mountains [to make the crooked places straight]; I will break in pieces the doors of bronze and cut asunder the bars of iron. And I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that it is I, the Lord, the God of Israel, Who calls you by your name. For the sake of Jacob My servant, and of Israel My chosen, I have called you by your name. I have surnamed you, though you have not known Me. I am the Lord, and there is no one else; there is no God besides Me. I will gird and arm you, though you have not known Me.

The Cyrus Cylinders (which are baked clay cylinders containing the words and decrees of the king) detail how Cyrus worked with the exiles to enable them to return and rebuild the temple thereby confirming the historical fulfillment of this prophesy. The archaeologist Hormuzd Rassam discovered the Cyrus Cylinder in March of 1879 during a lengthy program of excavations in Mesopotamia carried out for the British Museum.

Herodotus, a Greek historian, speaks of this historical time period as well. Daniel took the scroll of Isaiah and the scroll of Jeremiah and laid them before Cyrus the Great. Imagine reading that you were mentioned by name by the God of the Hebrews 150 years before you were even born!

The decree was given, Ezra 1:1-4

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia [almost seventy years after the first Jewish captives were taken to Babylon], that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might begin to be accomplished, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom and put it also in writing: Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and He has charged me to build Him a house at Jerusalem in Judah. Whoever is among you of all His people, may his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem in Judah and rebuild the house of the Lord, the God of Israel, in Jerusalem; He is God. And in any place where a survivor [of the Babylonian captivity of the Jews] sojourns, let the men of that place assist him with silver and gold, with goods and beasts, besides freewill offerings for the house of God in Jerusalem.

Friends, God speaks to His people, He does not relent. Our responsibility is to listen to the Word of the Lord by His prophets and pray into His plans and purposes for the nation. Will we be diligent like Daniel was with the promises He’s given? Or will we seek a new word every day to appease us in the moment?

We must be diligent to stay the course God set before us. The road to recovery and the path to healing is upon us! I want to share a vision the Lord gave me in 2016, it also refers to the approach of the Golden Hour:

Several weeks before the 2016 election (this is when Jon and I were holding special prayer on Tuesdays just to pray for the election). While were in prayer I had a vision of Donald Trump; his life- past, present and future. (Imagine an hourglass laying on its side, the grains of sand on the left represent Trump’s experiences. Successes, failures, sorrows, celebrations, personal and professional—all were represented. On the right was the future.) He stepped out onto the stage to take the oath of office. The moment his heel touched the platform, I saw everything he’d experienced in his life (picture the grains of sand in the hourglass) come from behind, meet at his body, and when his toe hit the stage, they shot through him and onto our Nation in the form of golden light—tiny grains of light bursting forth and penetrating the darkness in order to bring healing to our land. The land appeared as though it were covered with a golden hue.

The Lord told me he’d created Trump for this hour in history. Everything he’d ever experienced in his 70 years would be poured out to heal and rebuild our Nation. This is why Trump was created! Knowing this, how could I not commit to pray for him every day?

People are out to destroy him because he carries within him the passion to reclaim and restore our country and that’s in direct opposition to the plans of the elite.

Looking back at that vision, one the Lord gave me prior to the 2016 election I have to say that I believe President Trump’s his heel hitting the stage represents his first term in office. From that moment they would use his past mistakes, missteps, and even lie about him to try to destroy him.

Yet, we know that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and who are called according to His purposes. (Romans 8:28-29) President Trump is called according to God’s purposes.

I believe his toe hitting the stage represents his second term in office. The time in which all of his successes and failures (perceived and real) will be used to heal the land and bring forth that liquid gold – the golden hour—that I saw covering the nation so long ago. In that second term, we will see the New Breed, the Rods of Righteousness God has been preparing for this very moment in history arise!

The Lord traverses our land, weeping and sweeping, preparing it for our golden hour! The hour in which the innocence of the 50s will return to our nation. Let us not be distracted, discouraged or dismayed, for the hammer of justice is indeed coming!

God is allowing this season of exposure to awaken the new breed of patriots, the rods of righteousness, those who will do everything in their power to retain and maintain the work of His Spirit in our nation! It is coming! The golden hour approaches, let us continue to take the Word of the Lord to prayer until we see its fulfillment!

Remember, the Lord said 2024 would be our Year of Liberty!

2024 is the Year of Reclamation!

2024, His glory is going to pour!

Regardless of the obstacles, we must work diligently to avoid distraction and discouragement. The nation needs healing and restoration. We as the intercessors must come alongside the Lord, weeping and sweeping, and praying into the prophetic words He’s given. So that like Daniel, we might recognize the sign of the times and having prayed, have the privilege to see the fulfillment of prophesy as it occurs before our eyes!

Blessings & love,
