“The Light: Part 1” Nita Johnson
The Light
June 2019
By Nita Johnson
The Lord has been dealing with me recently about a new understanding of His Kingdom. I think those of you who follow the prophetic look at these last days the way I do, in that there is the revelation of the midnight hour. This is a revelation stream that was released at 11:55pm according to the angel of the Lord and will pass through the midnight hour, carrying the Body of Christ into the high and holy portals.
What I am going to give you over the next few weeks is relatively new revelation. The scriptures are numerous that cover this subject, but our problem has been that we have misunderstood the terminology. We consider what the Bible is saying, not based on the Spirit of God, but based on our intellect. This has brought us to a place where we are lower in stature than we should be at this time, but it isn’t anything that God can’t fix. If He has a group of Christians that will follow Him, that will work with Him, and strive for the perfection, He will have us right where He wants us and right on time!
Prayer: Lord, I thank You, I thank You for the wisdom, the understanding and the knowledge that You are giving in this hour. Thank you for the prophetic revelations that You are bringing to us in this hour. I thank You that where we have lack, You have plenty. You know how to get our attention and You know how to speak to us because we are Your children. So, I pray that You will help me tonight to express Your thoughts. If there is something missing that needs to be added, I pray that you would add it Lord, I just want Your will to be done. I want Your ways to be learned and I want Your plans to be fulfilled. We love You, we praise You, we stand in wonder and awe at the whole of who You are. In Your precious Name, amen.
Open your Bibles to Ephesians 4:11-.5. (Amplified Bible – Classic Edition)
11 And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers.
12 His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church),
13 [That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.
14 So then, we may no longer be children, tossed [like ships] to and fro between chance gusts of teaching and wavering with every changing wind of doctrine, [the prey of] the cunning and cleverness of unscrupulous men, [gamblers engaged] in every shifting form of trickery in inventing errors to mislead.
15 Rather, let our lives lovingly express truth [in all things, speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly]. Enfolded in love, let us grow up in every way and in all things into Him Who is the Head, [even] Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
This is probably one of the most paramount calls to the individual as he comes into the Kingdom of God. Here we look from the top to the bottom, so to speak, of the critical government that God has set in His church. I know that some people think that there will be no government in Heaven. I can promise you I have been there many times when government has been doing its work. Government is God’s idea, and it is a forever part of the Kingdom. What we need to come into this critical place of Christ and His perfection is called the spirit of stimulation. We can want for great and mighty things, we can want for good things, we can want, you might say, wide and broad from the Kingdom of God, but to aspire to enter into these places, even if we are called into them, requires the help of the Holy Spirit. We cannot do it by ourselves. We can become a pastor but that doesn’t mean that the pastoral anointing and appropriate mantles that God has set aside for His pastors would be upon us. We can do the work, but if the Spirit isn’t doing His part, it’s useless and while it may accomplish something on this earth, it doesn’t accomplish anything that has eternal value. I wanted to share that, as a prelude to the things that I am going to speak tonight.
God has a power. He has an authority. He has a force. He has a plan. He has a purpose that is so supreme that if we could see it with our eyes, we would find it very difficult to believe. However, I want to try to lay some groundwork, perhaps for the next two weeks, to help you better understand and know what to look for, what to follow, and how to pray so that the Lord will help you be right where you need to be in Him and positioned to be able to accomplish the life’s work that He has called you to. So, as we move through this tonight, please keep that in mind.

John 8:23 (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition):
He [Jesus] said to them, You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world (of this earthly order); I am not of this world.
Hebrews 1:1-3:
1 In many separate revelations [each of which set forth a portion of the Truth] and in different ways God spoke of old to [our] forefathers in and by the prophets,
2 [But] in the last of these days He has spoken to us in [the person of a] Son, Whom He appointed Heir and lawful Owner of all things, also by and through Whom He created the worlds and the reaches of space and the ages of time [He made, produced, built, operated, and arranged them in order].
3 He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God’s] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high.
Isn’t that powerful? I absolutely love the book of Hebrews, especially in the Amplified Bible. In this brief passage, it speaks of the radiance of the Divine, in other words, the light of the Divine. God is light. Christ is light. That is the new thing that He wants to focus on in this season because with this understanding, or perhaps correcting our misunderstandings, will play a large part in how He is going to be able to bring us up into perfection. Christ is called ‘the light’ and if you took that the way I took it, and I think most Christians receive it, we didn’t consider that maybe He was in essence, “light.” Although, we knew on one side of our brains that that was the case, but rather we considered that He was the carrier, the revealer of the manifestation of light. In other words, He who is God, all God, all man, is revealing to us what light and motion can do. Still, we are not lifting it high enough to put it into, you might say, the lap of God, the power of God and the force of God.
God without love is not God. He could never be God and if He’s not God there is no universe, and if there is no universe, there are no parallel universes. If that is true, there are no stars in the sky, no moon. Or so in spite of the many other satellite images taken throughout the stratosphere, there is not a tree on the ground, nor is there a blade of grass, because nothing can be sustained if God was anything different than what He is; God is love. It isn’t that He has love. He is the very essence of love.
When we touch God, every time we touch God—I don’t care if you go into prayer and you’re only there for five minutes, you’ve touched God. If you sat down and you’ve read His word and you’ve meditated on His word and you’ve drawn close to the Holy Spirit, you’ve touched God. We touch God many times in a day, all of us do, some of us not even realizing what we are doing. God is love and every time we touch God, we touch God’s love.
God is life. There is no life anywhere. There is no life in the trees because there are no trees. There is no life in the greenery on the ground, because it doesn’t exist if God is not life. You do not exist if God is not life. Even the marvels of the universe, the marvels of heaven, the marvels of the earth, the seven wonders of the earth, none of them exist if God is not life. So these aspects of His character, His nature, are very important to us.
God is light. If He is not light, you are going to find out there is no creation, it simply does not exist. It only exists because God is light. And, since Jesus is the One that was assigned to creation, it exists because Christ is light. He is life, He is light, and He is love.
Two more: Christ and the Father are truth. If They are not truth, we don’t exist, we can’t. Truth upholds everything in creation, in heaven, on the earth, and throughout the universe. Truth upholds everything. If God is not truth, He cannot create. That aspect of His character must be part of who He is. Christians can get into the fallacy of believing that if they have knowledge, they have the choice of believing that they have truth—or not. Knowledge really has little to do with truth. I’m not saying that there isn’t knowledge to be had, but knowledge does not lead us to truth. Truth is extremely important as it leads us to revelation more than to knowledge.
Can a Christian become truth? Yes, however, it takes a tremendous amount of separation work to make this happen. However, you can become truth because God will make you truth if you will let Him do what He needs to do to get you into the position where He can. We really have underestimated the powers of God at least as long as I’ve been saved, and I have a feeling that it’s been that way for about 2,000 years.
Holiness: if God were not holy—speaking of a total and complete separation from sin—if God were not holy, not so much as an ant would exist, anywhere. He holds all things together by the word of His power because He can, and He can because He is holy. So, there are these stunning insights and revelations of His character that help us to better understand who He is as God, and what He is capable of doing as God. This also helps us understand, and I think probably most of you would agree, that if this is true of God, if He can find men like Enoch, men like Moses, men like Elijah, Elisha, men like Paul, men that had been purified by fire, if He can find men whose hearts are after God’s heart and who will go through the purification needed for God to develop these incredibly high moral character issues, He can find them and use them in ways He has been able to use few in the generations on earth. The greater your level of purity is, the greater God can use you.
I understand some people will have a problem with that, but when you sit before Christ and you hear what He is saying, you can’t help but agree with Him, you can’t help but understand how important the things that are important to Him really are and why. So, as we talk tonight, our main theses, you might say, is going to be Christ is Light and because Christ is light, you are light if you belong to Him.
Hebrews 1:1-3 is one of the most beautiful passages in the entire Bible:
1 In many separate revelations [each of which set forth a portion of the Truth] and in different ways God spoke of old to [our] forefathers in and by the prophets,
2 [But] in the last of these days He has spoken to us in [the person of a] Son, Whom He appointed Heir and lawful Owner of all things, also by and through Whom He created the worlds and the reaches of space and the ages of time [He made, produced, built, operated, and arranged them in order].
3 He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine]…
So what we are talking about tonight is really sound doctrine. In that one sentence, think about how many times you may have read that passage and thought, “Oh, those are pretty words.” And yet, God is giving you an eternal truth that very little can match by sharing with us who Jesus really is, what He is. He is the radiance of the Divine, He is the Light-being of the Divine. Jesus Christ is light.
Now, may I just quickly take another step? We’ll come back over where we are right now. But I just want to say, not only is Jesus light, but the angelic host are light, and heaven is light. I have been to heaven so many times and every single time I go to heaven I can hear this ethereal song that is so sweet, so beautiful, so high pitched that I always thought that it was the angels singing and that they must sing in heaven, you might say, 24/7. But one day the Lord began to tickle my quest for revelation about the music that I hear every time I go to heaven.
I was speaking with a scientist about heaven and I mentioned to him what I just shared with you. He said to me, “Will you please go back to the Lord, and ask Him one more time what produces that song?” And I said, “Sure!” So the next morning when I was getting ready to go to the service, I said to the Lord, “Lord, what produces that beautiful song in heaven that I hear every time You take me there?” And the word that He gave me was incandescent. “Lord, are You telling me that the light of heaven is so pure that it produces that song?” His Spirit just rained down on me.
That night, I saw this scientist just before I was going up to minister. He asked me if the Lord spoke to me and I told him, “Yes, and I was so shocked by His answer.” “What did He say?” he asked. I said, “He only gave me one word: ‘incandescent’.” And he just about fell off his chair. He said, “Do you know that the scientific community just learned that light produces a song? The planets sing because they are clothed in light. We are learning that when light is pure, it produces a song. And that song is constant. It is as though it travels, but it does not travel, as least not as we would perceive travel.”
Light is energy. We hear people talk about that here on earth all the time but most of those people have never been in the presence of Jesus Christ, Who is light and whose energy is unstoppable. There are so many things about light that when we understand that Jesus is a being of pure light, it puts Him into a whole different realm. Now, is that going to be difficult for our faith? I hope not, because He has already told us in John 8:23 that He is not coming down to our level, except to bring us up to His.
In the Book of Hebrews, the 2nd chapter, He speaks of us as being His brethren. He is the first of many brethren, and so He is giving birth to replication of Himself to be used in the days ahead in ways that few today can comprehend. John said that Jesus committed so many righteous acts, so many miracles in His lifetime that the world could not contain all the books if they were written. So our God who is light, swallowed up His manhood and presented Himself to us as our Savior, not only our Savior, but thank God, our King and our Lord.
What did Jesus say when they took Him before the reigning monarchs of His day? He said, “My kingdom is not of this world.” Yet, we are in the world, so if His kingdom is not of this world, though we think we are in the world, there is something that is linking us to our King who in heaven. Even though we are living in a dimension on this earth, we have also already been linked to a dimension that is in heaven. (I am going to go over some scriptures with you about that very thing shortly.)
Now, this transference of our immortal soul into a place where He is King, where He is Lord, He is Ruler, He is the Creator, He is the Sustainer, He is the Author and the Finisher of our faith, the Author and the Finisher of our destiny, if He came to bring us into this place where we have such complete rule, does He want us to go to school and learn what can be done if we are following Him? I think He does and that’s what I think He has been saying to me for the last few weeks of these revelations.
What He has given me thus far is not all that He is going to give. He has already told me that, but He has given me a basic foundation to help us know that we are not in danger believing these things. We are preparing ourselves to fulfill His plans and purposes in the earth. Isn’t that exciting? I just think that is so exciting. Not only is this true, but He is willing to make Himself responsible for preparing us for this incredible endeavor that He is calling us to move into. We may not have thought in this way ever in our Christian walk, however, that doesn’t mean we are behind God’s times. He builds line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, there a little. This is His way. So, now you’re receiving revelation, insight, understanding of a higher reality that He wants you to come into.
I have a friend that was being visited by two men from heaven. He told me that these two men came to him and told him that he could put his hand and his arm through a wall and not be hurt and not hurt the wall if he would believe and if he would let them teach him the principles by which to do this. This isn’t witchcraft, friends, this is a man who walks so closely with the Lord that he was ready to be taught this kind of thing. Why is it important? Because if you can put your hand through a wall, you can walk through a wall to be free when someone is trying to kill you.
This is the kind of miraculous intervention that the Lord is going to do many times over in the earth. Consider the book of Acts, many times over the Apostles were miraculously released from prisons. So, after a few weeks, they had taught him how to put his hand through a wall and when his hand went into the wall, through the wall, it didn’t hurt his hand. They told him, “Now you’re prepared to learn how to put the whole of you through a wall and God will be able to take you many places to do His will as long as you stay humble.”
There are many things that we will see in the days ahead. I’ve got some of these things listed in my books, things that God has shown me that He wants to do to cause the world to stand in awe of His church and therefore the Head of His church, who is His Son, Jesus Christ. However, we must be willing to have our minds expanded. We must be willing to have our spirit expanded. Did Jesus say that truth was intellectual? Truth is a gift of intelligence? Notice that He never said anything like that, but He did let us know that the truth that He speaks, the words that He speaks are spirit. The truth that He holds, that He demonstrates and that He teaches is spirit.
I can remember—I don’t think I was six months old in the Lord—I was sitting in church with my daughter and the pastor came up to the pulpit. As he stepped up to the pulpit, suddenly I saw 13 of him behind him. It scared me! I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I mean, I had never heard anything like this in Christianity. I knew that I was a brand new, born-again Christian, but no one had ever told me you see this kind of stuff. The other thing I saw was that when he preached the Gospel, I saw spirit coming out of his mouth, spirit-life coming out of his mouth and across the spirit life it said ‘spirit and truth’. I thought, oh my, what is the Lord trying to teach me? This is incredible. I was too young to know this stuff intuitively. Those hints sent me back to the Bible to try to understand and I came to realize that Jesus was from another dimension. I’m not saying that He is an alien in the temporal sense. I am saying that He rules in a kingdom which we call heaven and that heaven is in a different dimension than this earth.
Heaven is filled with light. What is heaven? It is light. Is the earth filled with light? No, but there is a glory coming to the earth that will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea, and God is preparing all things for that eventuality. He has to prepare His church. He has to prepare the unbeliever. He has to prepare Israel. He has to prepare the heavens, the earth, the animal kingdom, the trees, the plant life, birds and fish. He has to prepare everything for the highest that He gives. What does the Bible say? How do we know this? Paul told us that all of creation awaits the manifestation of the sons of God. So what am I talking about then?
When I talk to you about this drama of the light-beings coming forth, it is the manifestation of God’s children. Not “teknon,” which means His young children, but “huios,” which means His adult sons. The world is awaiting this manifestation and they have been from the beginning. So here we, are six thousand years into this whole cycle, and we are just now being told that the grand finale is so high we cannot even comprehend it with our minds. Didn’t Paul also tell us that the glory would be so great that we wouldn’t know it or understand it if we were told?
We are here today, standing a far off from the mountain of glory. We’re looking at it, we don’t quite understand it, although we certainly want to understand it, but He is now starting to lift the veil on where He is going to take us. You can’t get there by yourself. It’s not like going to a friend’s birthday party where you can get there by taxi cab. You can’t get there by yourself. God has to do it but you have to be willing. You must be yielded to His guidance, to His discipline, even if there is a need for chastisement. Reject that, and you reject the plan. You must let God have His Lordship in you if He is going to take you into the throes of the lordship of every created thing.
Next, let’s look at Ephesians 2:19-22. (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)
19 Therefore you are no longer outsiders (exiles, migrants, and aliens, excluded from the rights of citizens), but you now share citizenship with the saints (God’s own people, consecrated and set apart for Himself); and you belong to God’s [own] household.
20 You are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets with Christ Jesus Himself the chief Cornerstone.
21 In Him the whole structure is joined (bound, welded) together harmoniously, and it continues to rise (grow, increase) into a holy temple in the Lord [a sanctuary dedicated, consecrated, and sacred to the presence of the Lord].
22 In Him [and in fellowship with one another] you yourselves also are being built up [into this structure] with the rest, to form a fixed abode (dwelling place) of God in (by, through) the Spirit.
Okay now, listen to that for a second. How many of us have always known that the temple of God is made out of light? Here we learn that the temple of God, as in other places, but we learn here also, that the temple of God is made out of the essence that is being divinely chiseled and formed, created, held, designed by the Spirit. What is the Spirit? The Spirit of God is pure light. So He is taking the church, I mean, of all of the things we can say about the future, the most important thing we could ever say is that He is making the temple of God out of the children of light. What an incredible statement. What holds God? When He confines Himself to a temple, He owns that temple, but the temple houses Him so there is a mutual communion going on. That is what the Spirit of God is working to create to build to the glory of Christ.
Now a vessel of light is going to have far more capacity than someone who is born of the kingdom of darkness, who lives and dies there. Our problem is we’ve never thought to seek out and learn just what He can do with a son of light and begin to seek His face as to what He wants your part in that to be so that you can start working with Him to let that happen.
2 Corinthians 5:17, 21:
17 Therefore if any person is [engrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!
21 For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness].
The reality is, the more we strive to be like Him, the more we fight and war against our flesh and our soulish nature and side with our spirit to have the dominion of our being in Christ, the more purified we are going to become, and the more purified we become, the more highly He is going to be able to use us.
I want you to know everything I am saying tonight. God has a church that He literally delivered His Son to the cross to obtain and He did it, not just to give us a great home in heaven through eternity, but it was the world that brought shame to His name. Some people might say yeah, it was the Jews. It was the world that brought shame to His name. So God, in His wonderful way, is making a plan where He is going to use His church to overcome the world—that is what we are discussing. From the morning when you get out of bed until the time you go to sleep, you are being prepared as a special and anointed vessel of the Lord, someone who is being built into the image of His church on earth as His temple on earth.
This is so beautiful if you can just grab it and hold it. His goal is to develop vessels that can walk in heaven while on this earth. That is what Jesus did in the book of John. We hear Him say that no one knows Him except we who are with Him. He didn’t say “were”, He said “are”. Jesus was walking in heaven while He was walking on this earth and no one knew it except the Father.
So, maybe between now and next week you can go through the gospels and see if you can understand a little bit more about Jesus, how He walked, how He talked and how God used Him in this highly developed state. Not that God has to be developed, that is not what I am saying, however, He was also all man and all man had to be developed to hold the “all God.” What He did through Christ He is surely going do again through the many.
Blessings in Him,
Nita Johnson
