A Deception in our Midst with Ricci Johnson-Wilson
Dear Precious Intercessors,
There are times we here at World for Jesus Ministries provide encouragement. Other times wherein we release prophetic utterances that unlock—in an even greater way—the glorious promises of God. We also release difficult prophetic words of warning so we can either prepare you for the days ahead or work together to thwart the plans of the enemy through prayer.
Then, there are very rare times like today, that we must give strong admonition regarding a deception making its way through the body of Christ to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
Why do we do this?
To save your soul…
James 5:19-20 says: “Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.”
How is it possible to be deceived?
We reject the Truth…
In 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 the Word states: “Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
We know the enemy lurks in the shadows, searching for a man he can deceive. Satan will use signs, wonders, and deception to convince anyone who has an ear to hear to turn away from God. This assault on mankind, to steal their heart from God, is a simple one, get them to reject the Truth. It is tried-and-true method which began with Eve. Satan would not have succeeded however, if Eve had not entertained his accusations against God rather than rejecting him altogether. As a result, she was deceived. (Genesis 3)
Satan has not changed his tactics since the beginning, and deception is prevalent today.
Therefore, seeking the Lord for wisdom, knowledge, and discernment is critical for every believer. I released a message on this two weeks ago in reference to media, but the same holds true in anything that will pull us away from Truth.
It is important to note here, for an individual to be deceived, they must first reject the Truth. There is a split second, or perhaps even a moment of time where the heart rejects Truth. When that occurs, deception is waiting in the wings to take hold, twisting and turning itself into the fibers of our heart until we are so deluded, we believe the lie, and in the end, we are given over to that lie. (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12)
The only solution my friends, is true repentance and a return to God and the truth found in His Word.
Why am I sharing this?
There is a deceptive teaching circulating in the body today. This deception was first developed by Howard B. Rand and then adopted and repackaged by Dan Griffey. At its essence, this false doctrine states that a second Moses will come forth and bring the people of God in America, back to Israel via Europe after parting the Atlantic. After which, America will be destroyed.
Dan Griffey’s message is referred to as a “Second Exodus” and at times “Second Moses.” It’s a highly dangerous and deceptive message surmised from fragments of the dead sea scrolls, pieces of the Book of Jasher and the Book of Enoch, some “ancient teachings” and even Irish and British “traditions” all mixed together to formulate a doctrine of his own. At times, Griffey’s message seems to simply bump up against Scripture, which should sound an alarm in our spirits to flee from possible heresy. At other times, it is an outright replacement theology that has us looking for the second coming of Moses.
This combination of traditions and various readings outside the Word of God do conflict with the Word of God. These are readings that many Christians are drawn to that God did see fit to include in the Authorized 1611 King James Bible that we have today. Why? Because they the potential was there to cause confusion in the body of Christ and could open the door to deception.
The Lord is calling His Ecclesia to Arise! It’s time to set aside foolish doctrines, misleading talk, and misappropriations of His Word. The Ecclesia must Arise and step into their place in God, encompassed in the purity of His Word and the power of His Spirit! We cannot do this if we reject the Truth.
Again I quote 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12: “Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
This underlined phrase in Greek means “they did not readily receive, welcome and appropriate the Divine love of the Divine Truth revealed to man.” In other words, they rejected the Truth. The AMPC says “…because they did not welcome the truth, but they refused to love it…”.
Lord, may we never, ever refuse to love Your Truth!
Friends, when this occurs, the lens of delusion is placed over our eyes and begins to have its way in our lives immediately, quickly reaching down into our heart and pulling us away from Truth.
The Apostle Paul warned us that before the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, there would be an apostasy and a great falling away… (2 Thessalonians 2:3)
Oh, how it grieves our hearts to even need to write this letter.
Our heart is to teach, train, develop, and warn you in such a way that you would not be deceived. We adhere to the pure Word of God, and just as James, the brother of our Lord Jesus says, “he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death” and my dear brothers and sisters, we love you enough to speak the Truth to you on serious matters that we might save your soul from death.
As such, we want you to know that we do not endorse Dan Griffey’s theology, nor do we support anyone that speaks of this theology. Some, who’ve previously been employed or somehow partnered with our ministry, those we deeply love, have fallen into this deception. There are even those falsely using Nita’s “endorsement” of this theology in hopes of further convincing our faithful intercessors that this false doctrine is a true doctrine.
Ephesians 4:12-16 teaches us that the work of our Lord and Savior through the five-fold ministry was… “for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: from whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.”
Today, we speak the truth in love to you, we edify you, we seek to bring the knowledge of the Son of God, that through this process, you might become mature believers in Christ, no longer tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine. It is our love for you that compels us to protect you from those who lie in wait to deceive you. Precious intercessors, flee from false teachings and set it in your mind to guard your heart with all diligence! (Proverbs 4:23)
Heed this warning my dear friends.
Blessings and love to you all!
